| School Librarian Eligibility Test (SLET) | (a) The applicant must be a citizen of India and a resident of Bihar. (b) Candidates appearing in the Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test may apply, subject to the eligibility prescribed under the Bihar School Librarian (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) Rules, 2025.. (c) A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks is required. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum prescribed marks shall be granted to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Backward Classes (BC), Divyang (Persons with Disabilities), women, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). This relaxation shall be available only to residents of Bihar. A Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic and Persian awarded by Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, or an Aalim degree and Kamil degree awarded by the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board shall be treated as equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit awarded by Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. (d) A Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science awarded by a recognized university is required. |
